Stimulating China

China, what a stimulating place to be...
we are settled in our studio/loft space after
rearranging and cleaning to our standards-
each artist has a different way of living
in the space, its feeling very comfy and
we have frequented the daily farmer's mkt
which is a 5 minute walk
Yesterday was my first day working in the
studio, it seems to always take a day or two
at least to start feeling it but just dipping
my brush in paint and pushing the chalk around
begins to take me to another place
The other night we went to an affordable art
festival in the main gallery district called
'798' in Beijing..amazing combination of
several galleries and shops, restaurants all
in one area, then all the artists and the
director had dinner at a place Zehui, the
director's chose- there were 12 of us around
the table sharing the food and introducing
ourselves, a wonderful group from around the
globe
so much more but I'll save till another time

 this is our front door

fabulous spices

everything from greens to live rabbits

what a luscious color egg

so many young people selling

weather has been varied, thunderstorms yesterday, rained
very hard, today air is fresh and its not hot yet!
